Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, a 250+ attorney national law firm, is seeking an Events Specialist to work within our Marketing Department and support our business development team. This role will focus on all aspects of client and firm event planning and implementation; provide advice on best practices and B2B event trends, provide recommendations on venues, create and manage budgets, coordinate event logistics, manage and analyze guest lists, and conduct post event debriefs. A successful candidate will be personable and detail oriented as well as someone who thrives in a career and environment that necessitates multi-tasking and prioritizing while enjoying the nuances of event management.

This role will hold a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

  • Work with shareholders and Marketing’s business development team in the development of client events, educational programs, and networking opportunities
  • Create and manage budgets for individual events, as well as monitor and track the overall event budget
  • Partner with the business development team in reviewing event analytics
  • Coordinate event logistics for external events as well as marquee internal events
  • Develop best practices for events that can be replicated across markets (CA, NV, DC)
  • Attend and provide onsite support at client facing and marquee internal events
  • Manage guest lists and responses
  • Create detailed post-event reports to help the business development team and event stakeholders determine ROI
  • Conduct venue and vendor research
  • Negotiate contracts with venues and vendors
  • Establish and maintain appropriate vendor relationships
  • Oversee all event contracts, works with office managers and department managers

This role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate day, evening, and weekend events as well as:

  • Business-to-business event planning experience required, professional services experience preferred
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience working in event software
  • Strong background in Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience working with audio visual vendors on live-streaming events (hybrid events)
  • Expertise in Excel
  • Experience using CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics a plus) and marketing mailing systems

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. We are offering a range of salary for this role from $80,000 - $90,000.
